Tau might be headed to “UP the Bucs”

Following initial rumors from SuperSport indicating that Tau had left, conflicting news have surfaced regarding his alleged departure from Al Ahly.

Later that day, Al Ahly refuted these allegations and insisted that Tau was still a member of the team. Al Ahly is yet willing to release Tau if a compelling offer materializes. After presenting a formal offer to the Chiefs, the Pirates are putting everything they have towards achieving this.

“The South African team Orlando Pirates has requested the services of Percy Tau from Al Ahly on loan, with a clause in place at the end of the season that allows the club to sign him permanently if he performs well,” Fathallah Zidane

The Buccaneers have now made a formal request to borrow Tau with the possibility of signing him long-term.
