Blaq Diamond is overjoyed after winning a court battle against Ambitiouz Entertainment. After a lengthy legal battle with the popular music duet, the Johannesburg High Court ordered the record company not to remove their songs from streaming services like YouTube.
“Having read the papers filed on record, heard counsel, and considered the matter, the following order is made; pending final determination of Part B attached to this application, any person or entity acting in concert with the respondents is hereby interdicted from removing and or deleting the applicants’ YouTube channel account.”
“That it be ordered that the second respondent be barred from raising any copyright/ownership dispute against works of the applicants authored by the applicants with any other digital streaming platform (DSP), including the first respondent, Spotify, iTunes, and Deezer, from June 15, 2022, pending final determination of Part B.”
