Mlungisi, played by Nkanyiso Mchunu, an Uzalo actor, has left the Mzansi Magic drama Umkhokha: The Curse. Mlungisi will commit himself, according to the TVSA Umkhokha: The Curse September teasers, and his brothers will have to whip his body to break the curse. “The curse finds its way to Mkhululi and nothing, but darkness prevails,” says the teaser for Thursday, September 21.
The teasers also reveal that Mkhulu’s half-brothers Khulekani or Siphamandla must whip his body to break the family curse. Friday, September 22nd: “After Mlungisi’s death, Khulekani and Siphamandla must determine who will halt Umkhokha and lash Mlungisi’s body.”

The teasers for Umkhokha: The Curse also indicate that Mlungisi’s wife Nokubonga and Siphamandla’s wife Mabusi (Hope Mbhele) will both become pregnant at the same time. Fans of the opera anticipate that Nokubonga’s baby will die since she is carrying Mamzobe’s (Deli Malinga) cursed kid. In a previous season, a sangoma confessed to Mamzobe that she had murdered her grandchild. Mamzobe will also come home and consent to her husband’s proposal of a polygamous marriage after he had impregnated her sister, Zodwa (Mbali Ngiba), for the second time.
