Zandie Khumalo has stated that her sister Kelly Khumalo and the late Senzo Meyiwa had a rocky relationship and that the late custodian was a dishonest guy.
On Friday, Zandie was addressing questions from the defense counsel for accused number four in the Meyiwa murder trial at the Pretoria High Court.
During cross-examination, the defence attorney, Zithulele Nxumalo, went into the dynamics of Meyiwa and Kelly’s relationship between 2012 and 2013.
Zandie Khumalo recounts an old text conversation in which her sister, Kelly Khumalo, expresses regrets over dating the late Senzo Meyiwa. The football star was slain during a home robbery at Khumalo’s residence in 2014 unfortunately, the dead has yet to receive justice.

Senzo’s murder trial has been ongoing for almost a year, with Kelly and Zandie serving as witnesses. Kelly Khumalo and Senzo were in a relationship until he was slain, but the mother-of-one revealed a 2013 text chat between the sisters.
The text says, “Sometimes I feel like Senzo has thrown a gloomy cloud into my life, and I nearly despise myself for not being able to get rid of him via SMS.” The SMS was not delivered. I have the impression that God is purposefully undermining me by maintaining this man in my life.” Senzo was married to Mandisa while dating the singer, which caused tension for the singer because the football player couldn’t decide between the two ladies.
However, Zandie Khumalo addressed an official letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa a few weeks ago, demanding that the matter be prioritized and expedited. Zandie thanked the president in the ketter for taking an interest in the issue and assuring that something was done about the ailing judge.
