Amanda du Pont and Shawn Rodrigues have been married since 2020, and they have been serving Mzansi with couple goals. Amanda and Shawn got engaged in 2018 and announced it on social media. The couple secretly married two years after their engagement in an extravagant wedding.
Amanda was trending on social media in September 2022 after an entertainment blogger, Musa Khawula, accused her of neglecting her husband, Shawn.
Many South Africans agreed with Musa, claiming they had never seen Amanda’s white husband, while others were shocked to learn of her marriage. All of these jabs at Amanda are directed at her for being known for sharing almost everything with her social media followers but not with her husband.

Amanda, on the other hand, responded to Musa Khawula, telling him to stop spreading false rumours about her personal life.
On social media in May 2022, tongues were wagging that Amanda was cheating on her husband, Shawn. Musa Khawula revealed that Amanda had gone on a holiday with her new boyfriend in Cape Town and was not wearing her wedding ring.
However, the actress denied having a new boyfriend after a blogger claimed she was seen with him in Cape Town. She took to Twitter to clear the air, sharing a video of herself and her friends out together and claiming the man in the photos was her bodyguard.
