The South African National Defence Force denounced criminal activity and acts of corruption in areas where its armed troops are carrying out their constitutionally mandated tasks on Tuesday.
The military was reacting to M-Carte Net’s Blanche exposé on Sunday, in which some of its soldiers were accused of accepting payments while stationed at the South African-Zimbabwe border.
SANDF spokesman Mafi Mgobozi stated during the Carte Blanche insert that action against its members will be taken soon.

“They’re breaking the law, and they’re violating the mandate they’ve been assigned to safeguard SA’s borders,” Mgobozi added.
