In the now-famous episode in which MacG interviewed Uyajola 9/9 presenter Jub Jub, the two talked about a variety of issues, some of which have garnered a lot of attention. But it was their discussion on the LGBTQ+ community, in which MacG hinted to DJ Sbu being homosexual, that nearly went unnoticed.
Jub Jub initially inquired about MacG’s feelings toward homosexual guys, to which he replied that he adores them. MacG went on to claim that he has many homosexual friends, including DJ Sbu, and that he has no issues with the LGBTQ+ community. The two of them then burst out laughing, a scene that irritated a few spectators, the worst of which being Dj Sbu himself.
The DJ expressed his displeasure with the two of them on his Instagram account. He questioned both Jub Jub and MacG in a sample of the interview, asking why they would treat him so badly. “Is this how you thank me my brothers?” he wrote.

Fans are divided on whether MacG and Jub Jub intended to upset Dj Sbu, and if the latter has any right to be outraged. Some argue that, despite their nasty behavior, the two were merely kidding and that DJ Sbu had no cause to feel anything. On the other side, some of the DJ’s admirers believe it was impolite of them to speak so negatively about him.
