This is about a post that trended yesterday without actual content in it, the post also received negative feedback from online users. The post was about a father-daughter relationship being viewed as “weird”.
South Africa is a place where having functional relationships is extremely rare and society has demonized the act of having a functional relationship. A Father loving his kids isn’t fashionable in this country, all we ever hear or read about is absent fathers and we are to blame for accepting that as a norm. Functional relationships should be celebrated and accepted.

Paulina (age 19), reached out to us to clarify the tension caused by the post. She’s still young and what she experienced is pure cyberbullying. This issue has had her worried mentally and also shocked how perception is common among our people. People are kinda channeled into the same way of thinking, they sexualize everything. She responded as follows:
” Imagine being crucified for showing love and affection to your kids because society sexualizes everything…this will not stop me in any way I will continue posting and living the life I want with my family because I come from a functional family and I don’t expect people from dysfunctional families to understand. It worries me that people even think it’s wrong, What kind of fathers will people be? The types that cannot show love and affection because they look at their kids with preying eyes? Father’s who will end up raping their children? Society should normalize that it’s healthy to have a father like mine.”
Her father is a well reputable man who got lots of hands in charity work that empowers young women, he should be celebrated as he is one of the few in South Africa instead of being questioned for loving his daughter. He does random donations to various schools every year. Pics of him can be seen below:

Above charity works, he is a family man who has unconditional love for his family, and dealing with cyberbullying shouldn’t be part of his family problems. The family is happy and encourages everyone to stand against cyberbullying.

We wish him all the success in his program and healing to his daughter and the rest of the family.
It is really startling the manner some people commented the way they did about the pictures I took with my daughter. To a greater extent this amounts to cyberbulling and shows that society is gradually drifting towards normalizing negativity in everything they see. Some of those who commented negatively, nonsensically and irresponsibly are hybrids who do not know their fathers and come from families whose structures are dysdunctional and shattered to the core. They were deprived fatherly love and fail to understand the love I have for my family. For your information I give all my kids and wife undivided and unconditional love. Continue posting your nonsenses you hypocrites
I agree with you, people are so stupid they think everything evolve around sex because they let their stupid minds control them.
My mother is like that to us, she always kiss us n even if we go like “No, am old now” she says it doesn’t matter if ur old ur still my Baby boy. So I do not see anything wrong with that. Just like my little sister, everytime she sees me after a long time she wants to be hugging me and thats how she is because she loves me as a brother so I guess she took after my mum.
Am happy for u n wish to have a family like urs.
If there was an organization about teaching people all this I would definitely join.
People always have something to say ? and if you got haters it surely means that you are doing exceptionally well regarding your life ⌛ and everything of that manner ? so my advice is never let someone’s trash Talks get the best of your attention, you are better off without suchlike peeps in your life ⌛ and jealousy it’s freedom of fools and the best thing you could do to mediocrity is to say nothing at all ?
