Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, Minister in the Presidency, says Western Cape Premier Alan Winde may fantasise about everything except the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

She reacted to Winde’s claim that Putin would be imprisoned if he visited the area.

He claims that if the SAPS fails to apprehend the Russian President, provincial law enforcement forces known as LEAP will.

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Putin for war crimes.

And the ICC expects any of its signatory countries to capture and extradite him to The Hague.

While South Africa has signed the Rome Statute, the government has remained silent on Putin.
