During the Springboks’ trophy trip in Cape Town, Rachel Kolisi was struck with a rugby ball.

On Tuesday, the Springboks, who won the Rugby World Cup 2023 for the fourth time, were greeted as heroes in South Africa. The squad has also undertaken a cross-country tour to commemorate the historic victory.

Family members were permitted to accompany the players on their tour, as other locals waved and congratulated them on their success. Rachel, who oozed support for her husband, Siya Kolisi, the team’s captain, had a bad experience while on the trip.

A fan threw a ruby ball at her, and it hit her head as seen in the video. However, its been reported that Rachel is fine and the ball hit wasn’t intentional. “The Springbok victory parade was wild! Rachel was ok everyone,” reads the caption of the video.

Siya wrote, “I should’ve caught ! Perfect throw! But @rachelkolisi should always be expecting the ball  that’s why my school coach always told me.” Speaking of her experience, Rachel said, “You know when you trip in fall in public and you really hope no one saw it  it was a great throw.”
